"As a professor of Oriental Dance I have spent 56 years training dancers in most of the world. I am proud and honoured to have Miss Kellye with me in Cairo. As a cultured woman she is searching for the source and the spirit of Oriental Dance. For this, she comes to Egypt, to Cairo, to feel and to live in the atmosphere of the true Oriental Dance.

Miss Kellye is a spiritual dancer by her movement and her character. Sometimes you will see her as a Sufi, sometimes you will see her as an angel through the expressions of her body and her soul.

The coordination of Miss Kellye is very high, and, as a professor of dance and dramatic theatre, I instruct her to develop the true technique, style, and character of Oriental Dance. I hope that she will continue her mission with these new concepts in her country and I hope that she will have many more students in order to preserve and develop this art for the future."

I wasn't prepared for all the comments after my performance last night. One of the ladies said that I was "so exact"'; and others said, "your arms/ hands are great' , "so snakey" , 'so precise'.

I usually blow off the compliments with "Yeah our teacher used to beat us with an assaya, just kidding, she was an awesome teacher!"

So I said that again last night and it occurred to me that I hadn't said that to you! So now I'm saying it, YOU ARE AN AWESOME TEACHER! You have given me so much! The dance has healed me immensely, it helped me overcome past traumas, remember my creativity, and helped me recover from disability. I owe all that to you. Even when I was getting frustrated you were always patient and understanding. Thank you Kellye!
